Matt Cutts Steps Down from Google

Matt Cutts was one of the first 100s employees at Google Inc. Cutts was one of the most well acknowledge Googlers within the search engine marketing industry. He has addressed many of links and provided invaluable additions to our industry and to Google. But it was an opportunity for him to move on and work on big gov problems instead of working on intricacies at Google.

Matt wrote:

“Working for the government doesn’t pay as well as a big company in Silicon Valley. We don’t get any free lunches. Many days are incredibly frustrating. All I can tell you is that the work is deeply important and inspiring, and you have a chance to work on things that genuinely make peoples’ lives better. A friend who started working in this space several years ago told me “These last five years have been the hardest and worst and best and most rewarding I think I will ever have.”

Matt Cutts, formerly the head of Google’s Webspam team, he confirmed his leave of deficiency from the company is permanent. According to his announcement, he resigned from Google on December 31, 2016, and currently, serves as the director of Digital Service (USDS).

Matt is working on significant problems in the government, instead of difficulties at Google. Same jobs impacted hundreds and thousands, if not millions of people. There are some pressing issues within the government around data and systems, and he is working on getting them fixed.
