World Wide Web, first introduced by Tim Berner – Lee in 1989. The first website that went live on 20th December 1990. In 1993 first browser was developed by University of Illinois, called mosaic that could show images on browser along with text. Since then, a net of domains and websites started launching their services on web, including Amazon (1994), Google (1997), Microsoft browser (1995) etc. World Wide Web let people be connected directly by introducing first messenger in 1999 MSN Messenger. Education and knowledge was also enhanced online by Wikipedia (2002). It gave birth to the social media portals like Facebook (2005), YouTube (2005) and Twitter (2006). It let people use the internet on small screens by launch of Apple’s iPhone. It has helped businesses grow worldwide and is expected to be helpful for mankind and brands to enhance, social connectivity and business. This day has been named as “Internaut” that is combination of 2 words, Internet and astronaut that represents honor to the designers and technical operators or users of the internet.
